This is an excellent camera for the average person, particularly athletes and backpackers, who account for the majority of GoPro customers. Some people simply want to know that their stunts are being captured in high fidelity and want to leave the rest to the makers. The majority of what’s new in the Hero 11 Black is aimed at a more casual audience, while the majority of the hard-core tech specs are identical to those of the Hera 10 Black.

The most noticeable difference between the CoPro Hero 11 Black and the 10 Black is that it now has a new sensor that allows for an 87 espectro option, whereas the 10 Black only recorded in 16:9 and 4:3. 8.7 captures more of what’s in front of you, and it’s where I shot all of my test footage for this review. Still, it’s a feature for editors rather than camera people, because you’ll probably want to upload your videos in 169 (what most modem displays default to) or, in a pinch, 49. (what most spider displays used). It’s nice to have more options when it comes to cropping footage.
